The University of Hertfordshire is a modern university based largely in Hatfield, in the county of Hertfordshire, about 35km north of London (which is offering a pioneering MBA on an SDL basis in various countries in the world). Described as “the UK’s leading business-facing university”, Hertfordshire has more than 25,000 students enrolled from nearly 90 different countries. The Hertfordshire MBA offered in Greece through the partnership with IMS college is a modern MBA aimed to graduates and young professionals those would like to enrich their CV with managerial qualities.

The University of Hertfordshire is a modern university based largely in Hatfield, in the county of Hertfordshire, about 35km north of London (which is offering a pioneering MBA on an SDL basis in various countries in the world). Described as “the UK’s leading business-facing university”, Hertfordshire has more than 25,000 students enrolled from nearly 90 different countries. In 2024 IMS College entered into a partnership with University of Hertfordshire to offer the SDL MBA in Greece (a special MBA aimed at younger professionals) with local support, with a view to extend the program portfolio in the near future offering more modern specialisms.
This SDL MBA – from the University of Hertfordshire Business School is designed to recruit students who wish to study Masters level Business Administration in an online, flexible mode, studied off campus but with UH HBS support as well as local face-to-face support and expertise (through carefully identified partner institutions – in our case IMS COLLEGE.
Educational experience
- an honors degree of at least 2:2 classification, in a business or non-business-related discipline, from a UK University; or
- a degree from a Greek University,or
- the equivalent of the above from a recognized University overseas; or
- a degree-equivalent professional qualification. This may be from a UK institution or a recognized overseas body
Professional experience
Ideally, you should have two years of relevant work experience, however, we do accept students who have less working experience and are at an early stage in their professional career on a case by case basis
English proficiency
- All students for whom English is not their first language must produce evidence of their English Language proficiency. The standard required is either an IELTS score of 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in each band), TOEFL score of 580 (237 CBT, 89 IBT) or an equivalent score on a test recognised by the University of Hertfordshire
- This requirement will be waived if the student has successfully completed an undergraduate degree studied in English.
Interview
Where an applicant does not meet the above academic or professional requirements, they may be required to attend an interview with a member of the academic staff. This interview will take into account their business exposure, leadership skills and professional achievements.

IMS College (International Management Studies) was set up back in 1995 by a team of British management education specialists to provide high quality management development programmes to experienced and talented professionals and initially operated as Center of Liberal Studies (licensed by EOPPEP A/23684). It subsequently became a fully licensed COLLEGE (No. 46327/K1/ 17 – 3 – 2017 Ministry of Education and No. 1057/B’ National Gazette) from the Ministry of Education. Under this capacity, IMS COLLEGE is able to form collaborations with any foreign institution, for the delivery of either UG or PG programs.
IMS College has 30 years experience in the delivery of MBA and Masters programs – has been collaborating for more than 28 years with University of Strathclyde (offering the Executive MBA and various MASTERS programs in Greece) as well as with a number of other UK Universities (i.e. University of KEELE) offering PG programs. IMS is one of the oldest established colleges still in existence today.
IMS is located at Kifisias Avenue, Chalandri, the heart of the Kifisias Business District in modern facilities just minutes away from the centre of Athens and with excellent transportation links.
