Introduction
Looking to launch or advance a career in the $350 billion sports and athletics industry? This concentration will prepare you for leadership positions in sports management/sports marketing firms, licensing and apparel marketing, or radio and television programming.
Unlike hospitality/tourism or kinesiology/physical education programs, our sport management concentration pairs with an M.B.A. degree — a distinct advantage. Our broad-based program combines a strong core curriculum with electives that let you map your own path, and we keep the whole thing streamlined to just 40 credits. Our South Orange, NJ campus is located only 14 miles from the heart of New York City.
Our alumni can be found in any number of prestigious sports organizations: the Yankees, Madison Square Garden, the NBA, the Mets, and many others.

It provides a deep understanding of sports marketing, branding, and promotions, allowing graduates to tap into the lucrative world of sponsorships, endorsements, and media rights. Moreover, the program delves into the intricacies of contract negotiations, athlete representation, and event management, ensuring students are well-prepared for the dynamic challenges they might face. With an increasing emphasis on data analytics in sports, the Seton Hall University Stillman School of Business MBA integrates data-driven decision-making into the curriculum, making graduates valuable assets to teams and organizations. The best MBA in sports management is not just about understanding the game on the field but mastering the game off of it, making it a valuable investment for those aspiring to lead in the sports business realm.
Admissions
Curriculum
With a focus on an ethics-centered education, our M.B.A. starts with a core curriculum that covers accounting, economics, the behavioral and quantitative sciences, and the functional areas of business.
That means that you may study international sport management or sports television in the age of new media one semester, then organizational and market dynamics the next. To further round out your education, you'll select several electives from a field in the M.B.A. curriculum other than sport management.
At the end of the program, you'll have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained and consult with an actual client in our M.B.A. consulting course.
Expect small class sizes and dynamic lectures and discussions with faculty and industry professionals. Many of our students, guest lectures, and adjunct faculty come from the New York metro area's leading organizations, infusing each classroom with their unique perspectives and expertise.
