The Evening MBA program integrates the depth and resources of Michigan’s MBA day program into a flexible, part-time format to satisfy the varied requirements of working professionals.

Its quality is reflected in the expertise of its faculty, who teach in the Day MBA program as well as Michigan’s acclaimed Executive Education program. The Evening MBA’s flexible, intensive curriculum offers a strong foundation in core management disciplines that are reinforced through compelling electives and cross-functional applications on and off campus. The Evening MBA program features students and faculty with diverse personal and professional backgrounds as well as varied points of view. As an Evening MBA student, your curiosity will be challenged through stimulating coursework and engaging group participation, including teamwork on case analyses, presentations, and special projects. The Evening MBA program at Michigan\'s Ross School of Business provides a rich curriculum designed to accommodate working individuals who elect to pursue their degree on a part-time basis. Graduates benefit from the quality and reputation of the Michigan MBA and earn the exact same credentials as Michigan’s full-time, day program students.

Moreover, as an Evening MBA student, you’ll experience the best a graduate program has to offer: world-class teaching from a renowned faculty, challenging classroom discussion with top-notch students, and the opportunity to go far beyond best practices to fulfil your career aspirations.

The flexibility of the Evening MBA program allows you to continue your employment while maximizing your educational experience at Michigan. Classes start in either September or January and are offered in two locations, on the main campus in Ann Arbor and at a dedicated satellite facility at Commerce Park in Dearborn. Most classes meet one evening a week, some in an intensive format on Saturdays to provide additional options. Although some evening students earn their degree in less than three years, students typically take between three and four years to complete the program.


Flexible, Fundamental and Applicable for a Lifetime

Thoughtfully designed to accommodate working professionals, Michigan’s Ross School of Business Evening MBA program provides a balanced curriculum for optimum results. Its foundation, referred to as “The Core,” provides extensive training in 10 fundamental business areas: Financial Accounting; Microeconomics; Business Statistics; Human Behavior and Organization; Finance; Marketing Management; Management Accounting; Operations Management; Computer & Information Systems; and Corporate Strategy.

The Core encompasses 30 of the programs 60 credits. Remaining credits are earned through elective coursework that enables you to apply the Core’s fundamentals to practical, real-world issues through collaborative projects and detailed case analyses. The program offers more than 100 electives within the School’s 12 academic departments. Elective courses range from seven to 14 weeks, and can be taken in conjunction with Core classes, provided certain pre-requisites are met. This mix and flexibility enable you to keep current with innovative topics and faculty research while solidifying your grasp of essential business theories. You may take up to 10 credits outside of Ross Business School to construct a degree program that focuses on relevant business issues, including healthcare, law, or public policy, without having to pursue of a full degree in a second subject area.

Before Applying You Must

  • Complete the equivalent of a four-year U.S. bachelor\'s degree. Accordingly, we reserve the right to review the academic records of international applications and to determine whether the academic credentials presented from a non-U.S. institution qualify for consideration.
  • Take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). To have your GMAT score automatically sent to Ross, use code: SN1-J6-64. International students must also take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) if their first language is not English. To have your TOEFL score automatically sent to Ross, use code: 9585.
